County Program: Citrus About: I have been a Special Olympics Athlete since 1989 and have competed in bowling, softball, basketball, soccer, swimming, skiing, golf, and track and field. My highlight of being with Special Olympics is participating on a team, where I get to meet new people, achieve success and win medals. The best thing lately though, was attending the Athlete Congress in 2006. One of the 1st leadership roles I had was being a supervisor at the sheltered workshop.
