County Program: Broward About: I have been involved with Special Olympics since 2005, when I was invited to participate by the Broward County Coordinator. I compete in Alpine skiing, basketball, shot put, 100m run, volleyball, and softball. I am a volunteer coach for the Shooting Stars, a basketball camp for young children with autism located at Coconut Creek Community Center. I also raise money for Autism by participating in a Walk-a-thon. Special Olympics is awesome. I have learned about sports and had many adventures. I love it because it is the most fun thing in the world! I make friends and have learned how to speak in public.
